On the first Saturday of May the Kentucky Derby is run and has now done so for the past 146 years. The first horse race of the Triple Crown series is held at Churchill Downs in Louisville Kentucky and is dubbed the ‘Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports’ as the thoroughbreds thunder around the 2 kilometre track.
