Culmina Family Estate Winery

September 3, 2019

While many of us might have that dream of running away and buying a winery, it actually takes a tonne of work and many years of knowledge and experience to craft wines that are truly great.

B.C.'s Culmina Family Estate Winery may be a newer winery on the bench, but behind it is years of dedication and expertise.

Culmina Family Estate Winery is the result of a lifetime of experience in the wine industry for Don, Elaine and Sara Triggs (yes, you may recognize their names thanks to their involvement in the  Jackson-Triggs winery). Having worked in the industry for a combined 40+ years, Don and Elaine began in 2006 with the goal of making the highest quality wines possible from their own family estate.

Once the Triggs had decided to venture back into the wine business  in 2006, they began their quest to find the perfect Okanagan vineyard site. The family did years of research on the property before a single vine went into the ground.

Today the winery produces numerous vintages available at Calgary Co-op Wine Spirits Beer, including Culmina Family Estate Winery R&D Red Blend, Hypothesis red, Saignée Rosé, Unicus Gruner Veltliner, and Decora Riesling.
