As the end of our journey exploring Canada’s bounty of alcoholic beverages draws near, we want to go out with a splash. So let’s look at some special red and white Canada Day recipes using liquor from BC. We have scoured our shelves for selections that will please any gathering, no matter how diverse.
Let’s begin with a classic red beverage invented in Calgary — make a Caesar using Sons of Vancouver Chili Vodka. At 180,000 on the scoville scale (a measurement of spicy heat) from local aquaponic chilies, it will definitely add some spark to your Canada Day celebrations.

2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes Tabasco

For another red, and a nod to Canada’s rugged past, the BC Berry Puck using premium whisky from McLoughlin & Steeleto. Blended and bottled in the Okanagan, it is Western Canada’s first premium craft distillery. Named for Dr. John McLoughlin (Chief Factor of the Hudson's Bay Company and first manager of Fort Vancouver) & James Steele (pioneer & ranchman).
