Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup beer (Pabst Blue Ribbon)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

How to Make It

1.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, grease 8-inch square pan.

In a medium bowl sift together flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt.

In a small pot over medium heat melt butter until it turns golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add chocolate chips and stir until melted and fully combined. Remove from heat and stir in beer.

In a separate medium bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar and vanilla extract until thick, about 2 minutes. Add the chocolate mixture and whisk to combine. Slowly add the dry ingredients, mixing thoroughly to prevent any lumps.

5.

Pour into prepared pans and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing. Slice into 12 large brownies.
