Douglas Cook recently joined Elixir Distillers, where he leads the company’s team of international ambassadors, representing its portfolio of premium whiskies and rums. With extensive international experience in the whisky industry, he has travelled to more than 30 countries across five continents, helping people deepen their appreciation and understanding of whisky. Douglas is excited to now expand his expertise into the world of rum and looks forward to visiting Canada to share Elixir’s growing portfolio of whiskies and rums. In recognition of his contribution to the promotion of Scotch whisky, Douglas was honoured to be inducted as a Keeper of the Quaich in October 2021. While Douglas lives in Edinburgh, he has a particularly personal connection to Tormore Distillery in Speyside, where he used to live in one of the Tormore cottages.
