  • 1 1/2 oz whiskey
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice (about half a lemon)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • 1-2 cloves (optional
  • Lemon slice or twist for garnish

How to make it

  1. Boil water and let it cool slightly, or heat it in a kettle or microwave until hot but not boiling.
  2. In a heatproof mug or glass, combine the whiskey, honey, and lemon juice. Stir until the honey is fully dissolved.
  3. Pour the hot water into the mug, stirring gently to mix everything together.
  4. For extra flavour, add a cinnamon stick and a couple cloves to the mug and let steep for a few minutes.
  5. Garnish with a lemon slice or twist
