  • 1 apple
  • 2 blood oranges, plus more for garnish
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 bottle dry red wine
  • 1 bottle sparkling cide
  • Ice for serving
  • Coloured sugar, for garnish

How to make it

  1. Thinly slice the apple and oranges. Place into a pitcher and muddle to release their juices. Add in cinnamon and sugar and mix. allow to stand for 20 minutes.
  2. Pour in red wine and stir until combined. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. Rim glasses with coloured sugar and fill with ice. Fill the glass halfway with sparkling apples cider, then top with sangria mixture.
  4. Garnish with blood orange slices and enjoy
