Ingredients

  • 2 ½ oz. Lindeman Bin 50 Shiraz
  • 1 oz Rye Whisky
  • ½ oz. lemon juice
  • 1 oz. strawberry puree
  • Garnish:
  • lemon twist
  • Strawberry Puree (batch):
  • 10 oz. (1 ¼ cup) strawberry jam
  • 1 lemon, juice and zest

How to Make It

Christmas Sour:

1.

Fill a shaker with ice.

2.

Add in whiskey, lemon juice and strawberry puree.

3.

Shake well until the outside of the shaker is cold.

4.

Strain over an ice filled rocks glass.

5.

Pour Lindeman Bin 50 Shiraz over the whiskey mixture.

6.

Garnish with a lemon twist.

Strawberry Puree:

(note: if only making one serving simply strain 1 tbsp of jam with a squeeze of lemon juice to taste)

Strain strawberry jam through a sieve to remove seeds.

2.

Add lemon zest and juice.

3.

Stir well.

4.

Refrigerate for up to 14 days or freeze for up to 6 months.
